I created three projects for today’s blog hop.

  • For my first project, I decide to use the Sketchy Floral stamp set to create lots of flowers to cluster on one side of the page. This stamp set is absolutely gorgeous, not only for the floral image and sentiments it features, but also for its large size, perfect for backgrounds.

I love the colors of the patterned papers included in the Reflection Scrapbook Collection. I know I say this often, but those watercolor hues just make it so easy to achieve the desired mixed media look. I decided to heat-emboss the main image with the Altenew Crystal Clear Crisp and Golden Peach Crisp (which will be restocked soon) embossing powders. I stamped and fussy cut it several times, in order to be able to layer the pieces and achieve dimension.

The Golden Peach Crisp embossing powder is so beautiful!!! I want to use it on everything!

Some of the leaves were placed on the opposite side of the picture as well, to continue the theme and give a more complete look to the page. Embellishments from the Reflection Scrapbook Kit,  paint splatters, and enamel dots finished the page.

  • My second project features the Get Well Soon stamp set. What I love about it is its versatility. Lots of different images that are perfect for backgrounds or to create embellishments.

This Travelers Notebook spread came together in no time.

I first stamped the hexagon image on a piece of watercolor paper with VersaMark ink and heat-embossed it to create a resist. Then with a mini ink blending tool and some of the brand new Altenew Crisp Dye Inks I just added color all over the page.

On a separate piece of watercolor paper I stamped the floral image and heat-embossed it. I used watercolors and also Altenew Shimmer Ink Sprays in blue and purple to achieve different shades.

I kept the opposite side of the spread pretty simple. I cut the word “Love”, included in the new Script Words Die set, three times and layered the pieces together for added dimension. To give it even more texture, I backed it with die cut pieces from my stash and a few embellishments from the Reflection Scrapbook Collection.

  • My third and last project for this release features the Parrot Paradise stamp set. I love the variety of tropical foliage. So inspiring!

I knew I wanted to create my own background by using only one type of leaf. I cut a 9-inch circle out of a 12×12 piece of white cardstock and used it as a template. Then I started stamping inside the circle by using all the different shades of the new Altenew Crisp Dye Ink sets: Cherry Blossom, Deep Blue Seas, and Pocketful Of Sunshine. The colors are vibrant and fun, perfect for this summery layout.

Some of the leaves were also stamped separately and adhered on top of the background ones using foam dots.

I kept the embellishments to a minimum not to overload the page. I love how soft this page turned out.

Thank you for stopping by. Keep hopping along for a chance to win a gift certificate to the Altenew store. You next stop is the amazing Laurie Schmidlin.

Have a lovely day!
