Pinkfresh Studio January 2024 Stamp, Die, Stencil, and Hot Foil Release

Hello, my crafty friends! I am finally back to sharing my projects with you on this platform. It has been way too long! Four years to be exact. I definitely needed a little push, but I am very happy to be here 🙂

Welcome to the Pinkfresh Studio January 2024 Stamp, Die, Stencil, and Hot Foil Release! You will be amazed at the beauty of these new products. Soft, delicate designs that you absolutely need in your stash. I’m sure you’ll love them as much as I do!

I have six A2 cards to share today using three stamp sets that come with Coordinating Cuts and Stencils. To stamp and ink-blend all my images, I used Pinkfresh Mini Ink Pads.

Let’s start with the beautiful Wildflower Bouquet set.

I decided to create a layered design by die cutting three different shades of pink cardstock with the Classic Edgers die set. After adhering them on three sides so that the top portion would stay open, I placed my stenciled and die cut pretty flowers and foliage inside, making sure to distribute them evenly. I glued the stems inside the little pockets and used small foam dots to adhere the top of the flowers to give it some dimension. For the sentiment, I heat-embossed it with clear embossing powder and glued it to three layers of white cardstock to make it sturdy and dimensional.

My second card is very similar.

This time I used only one layer of pattern paper as a background for my pretty images. I die cut it with one of the Classic Edgers and finished it with a strip of black cardstock to create some contrast and replicate the black sentiment at the top. Again, I used foam dots to make my images dimensional.

For this second set of cards, I used the gorgeous Heart of Gold set.

I started by ink-blending a 4.25×5.5 panel. I then die cut it with the Floral & Diamond Tiles Coverplate Die before adhering it to my white top folding card base. As the background is very busy, I needed something that would ground the design a bit to make the pretty lemon branches and sweet bird stand out. I used the Braided Circles die to cut the circle, which I placed in the center of the card. After adhering my images, I finished the card with a sentiment and crystal gems for a bit of sparkle.

This next card is my favorite of the bunch. It gives me summer vibes and a feeling of relaxation and peace.

After ink-blending my panel with shades of coral and peach, I die cut it with the Dotted Scallops Coverplate Die to add interest. As I wanted more of the white card base to show, I shaped the top by drawing a little curve and cutting it with scissors (you can definitely use a die for this, but I did not have one). For the images, I decided to go with limes instead of lemons and color the bird with pretty shades of pink – I used the coordinating stencils for this. I love the contrasting colors and feel that the sentiment goes perfectly with the vibe of the card.

The third and final set of cards features the Beautiful Day set. This also comes with a coordinating Hot Foil Plate.

This design is so pretty and delicate. The gold foil makes it even more dainty and beautiful. I decided to keep the image soft by choosing light colors for the flowers and leaves, but I also added pops of fuchsia here and there to bring the card together and make the pink stand out more. For the same reason, I outlined the sentiment with the same color to create a shadow layer – I simply ink-blended white cardstock with the same ink pad and cut it to create a little border. It is hard to see in these photos, but the gold foil is just gorgeous!

My final card featured the same stamp set, but with a twist.

As you can see here, after stamping and die cutting my images, I arranged them in a circle to make a wreath. This time, I used more vibrant colors to make the flowers pop on the soft blue background. Once again, to add interest to the card panel, I die cut it with the Floral Backdrop Coverplate Die – I think the little flower design goes perfectly with the theme of the card. The sentiment was heat-embossed with white embossing powder and die cut with the Fancy Label Frames. Everything was adhered with foam dots for added dimension.

Altenew – Graffiti Scribble Stencil as Stitching Template

Hello there. I am so excited to share with you my very first blog post for Altenew. One of the techniques I love to use on my pages is hand-stitching. It adds so much texture without being overwhelming, which I like. Stitching templates can be created in different ways. Today I want to focus on using stencils as a guide.

The new Graffiti Scribble stencil is fun and very versatile. I created a diagonal design with it by using a mini ink blending tool and the Altenew Crisp Ink in Caramel Toffee. Once I had my background ready, I pierced holes in between the stencil lines and just stitched with white colored thread. I could have also stitched along the actual lines to give my layout a richer look, but I was happy with just that little bit of extra texture.

I then fussy cut the gorgeous floral piece and a few butterflies from one of the patterned papers in the Reflection Scrapbook collection. I adhered all the pieces down with foam dots for extra dimension.

My goal was to keep the layout clean and simple. I layered the photo with a variety of patterned papers from the same Reflection collection and just added a few embellishments and sentiments on the opposite corners of it to achieve a balanced look.

A few epoxy buttons and wood veneer birds finished my page.

I hope you enjoyed reading about my process and will give this technique a try. Thank you for stopping by. Have a great day!

One of the things I love about this stencils is that you can obtain three different images of the flower, allowing for a more natural and realistic look when it comes to layering. To start, I created several sets of the dahlia in a variety of colors. I used the following Altenew Crisp Inks: Mountain Mist, Volcano Lake, Rose Quartz, Puffy Hearts, Mango Smoothie, Warm Sunshine, Lavender Fields, and Midnight Violet.

I knew I wanted to use a white background for my page, so I decided to heat-emboss the edges of the flowers with some gold powder to make them stand out more. A layer of vellum, as well as some die cut dahlias, were added to create more interest and texture.

My idea was to concentrate most of the layering on the left side of the page. For the border, I cut some strips out of a few patterned papers that come in the Reflection Scrapbook collection, and adhered the dahlias down with foam dots. I love all the dimension this little step adds.

To keep continuity throughout the page, a few more flowers were added behind the photos.

Wood veneer butterflies and a few epoxy dots completed the layout.
