Pink Paislee – Planner Spread: A Personalized Touch.

Hello there! I’m back today with a new Planner Spread for Pink Paislee. One of the things I like to do at the beginning of each month is personalize my dashboard. Depending on the season and my mood, I pick ephemera pieces, stickers, and usually an inspiring quote to pretty up the opening page of a new month.

For the month of June, I decided to go with the happy colors in the Oh My Heart collection. Floral pieces are always a must for me, so I thought it would be fun to add a big die cut flower and simply back it with different patterned papers from the collection. The cut file is a design by Paige Evans. I have been wanting to use it for a long time. I think it looks great here.

The Oh My Heart collection has a lot of motivating quotes to choose from, but the “Now is the New Later” one just sounded right for this month. Sometimes I just need a little encouragement to take initiative and don’t procrastinate 😉

I also used a few stickers on the opposite page to bring the colors together and give the spread a more cohesive look.

I like to repeat the same color scheme throughout the month. For the month-at-a-glance view, I used a variety of washi strips from the collection to highlight weeks and special events.

Here are a couple close ups:

Thanks for stopping by today! There are a lot of fun and easy ways to personalize your planner pages. I hope you felt inspired to give it a try!

Pink Paislee – Lists – Fun And Easy Notepad Holder

I love making lists! Lists keep me organized and help me set priorities. I find it the best way to keep up with our family’s busy schedule. I’m also the type of person who needs to write things down in order to remember them. Today I am going to show you what a weekly spread in my planner looks like and how I incorporated the cute little notepad that comes in the Oh My Heart collection for my daily to-do list.

The first thing I do when I set up my weekly spreads is write down the main tasks I need to get done or important events/duties such as schedule changes, school and church functions, work meetings, etc. Anything out of the ordinary goes into my planner. This system works wonders as it gives me an idea of all the extra activities I have to prepare for and how busy the upcoming week is going to be.

Once everything is written down, I start decorating the pages. The bits and pieces in the Oh My Heart collection are so fun. The black and white striped tote is my favorite. I also love the floral puffy stickers which were perfect to embellish the opposite corners of my spread. To achieve a cohesive look, I made sure I repeated some of the elements on both page. Fussy cut flowers, clear and chipboard stickers, washi tape.

Aside from an overview of my week, what I like to include in my planner is a daily to-do list. Most of the time I just use post-its or index cards, but I thought it would be fun and useful to create a notepad holder that I could switch between weeks or planners.

To begin, I cut out a piece of patterned paper to adhere the notepad to that was ¼ inch bigger than the notepad itself. Next, I wanted to make sure I had a sturdy base for it. Something that I could easily take in and out of my planner without tearing. I trimmed two of my favorite patterned papers from the collection to glue back-to-back and a piece of white cardstock that I sandwiched in the middle. Another option would be using plain chipboard to decorate with favorite patterned papers and embellishments. One thing to pay attention to before trimming the paper is the space needed for notches/holes (depending on your type of planner).

I created a little pocket on the back to store extra lists, receipts, and reminders.

Thank you for stopping by today. I hope this post has inspired you to give list making a try. It’s easy, it’s fun, and it works!

Clique Kits – March Planner Spread

Hello, everyone. Today I want to share a planner spread featuring the new gorgeous Clique Kits March Play Kit. I love this kit to pieces. It is just beautiful. Such happy colors and fun patterns.

I was so inspired by all the goodies in this month’s kit that I decided to make my own dashboard for March.

I knew I wanted to use the Lil’ Bit Lovely patterned paper. I thought the chevron pattern would be cute to create a little pocket. As my base, I used a piece of white cardstock, which I trimmed to fit my Mini Happy Planner (it measures approximately 4.75” x 7”). I then did the same thing with the patterned paper. Since I wanted to cut the chevron paper in half, I first punched holes in it. That gave me an idea of where to cut.

I used some foam dots to give dimension to the beautiful floral piece included in the ephemera pack, and added one of Dr. Seuss’s quotes that I have always loved as my inspiration for the month. I had a hard time choosing the bits and pieces to go in the pocket. They are all so fun!

This is my monthly spread for March.

I like to keep it simple and usually only jot down a few things. The weekly spreads are much busier.

How lovely are these embellishments included in the kit? Don’t forget you can also download the exclusive printables that coordinate perfectly with the main kit.
