Hello there! It’s Enza, and today I’m sharing a new layout created with an oldie but goodie collection. I have loved working with the Oh My Heart line in the past, so I thought I would bring it back to enjoy it a bit more. It’s like playing with a new collection all over again 😉
I wanted this page to be a concentrate of gorgeous flowers, so I started with the Large Flower cut file designed by Paige and made it the base of my huge cluster. I backed it with Paper 13, which is one of my favorites; it has dainty, colorful little flowers that are very feminine and sweet. Since it is a busy paper, I decided to tone it down with a darker background and solid colored flowers on top.
I adhered the cut file towards the left side of the page and trimmed the excess. I then proceeded to fussy cut the flowers to layer behind my photo. I chose bigger ones so they wouldn’t get lost in the background and used foam adhesive to lift them up a bit. For the photo, I arranged several die cuts and chipboard stickers around it. I also added a tag and some twine. You can notice how the different elements separate each layer from the next. The almost solid background makes the cut file pop, the flowers separate the busy patterned paper from the ephemera pieces, which in return create a separation between the flowers and the photo. I hope what I just tried to explain makes sense. Ha ha!
The title follows the line of the cut file. I simply used the alpha chipboard stickers to spell “love you” and added a heart between the two words.
Thank you for stopping by today! Do you ever go back and use collections that are a little older, but still make you feel like the first time you saw them? I do that often and it’s a lot of fun!
