Pink Paislee – Cut File Inspired Layout

Hello PP friends! Second layout of the day, this one for Pink Paislee, featuring the gorgeous Pick-Me-Up collection, as well as bits and pieces from Oh My Heart. The main idea for this page came from the cut file I ended up using. I often turn to cut files for inspiration, especially when I don’t have a specific theme to work with or I’m in a creative rut. Scrolling through all the different designs is the perfect jump start to get my ideas flowing again. Here is the layout:

I like lots of dimension on my pages, so the first thing I did was cut the flower shape multiple times in different sizes to build my layers. I picked pinks and teals for the bouquets, and kept the color scheme throughout the layout.

I cut the stems from patterned papers in different shades of green and arranged them on opposite sides of the page. Then I continued with the flowers which I adhered down with foam adhesive.

The space in between the bouquets was perfect for my photo. I backed it with a frame, patterned paper, and a tag, and embellished it with all kinds of fun goodies. The “Happy” sticker became part of my title, which I completed with the chipboard “laugh” sentiment and another sentiment strip from the 6×12 Sticker Sheet.

Once everything was in place, I added a few rub-on butterflies, buttons, and tiny flowers around the whole design. I love how they follow the flow of the page and bring in more of the same colors and patterns.

I’m happy with how this layout turned out. Any time you feel like you have no new ideas for your next projects, turn to cut files for inspiration. You don’t necessarily need to use them, but they can get your creative juices flowing again. Thank you so much for stopping by! Have a great day!
