Altenew – Stamp Focus: Prettiest Pomander

Altenew_PrettiestPomander_EnzaGudor1Hello, Altenew fans! Enza here to share a new layout highlighting the gorgeous Prettiest Pomander Stamp Set.

The cluster of flowers and leaves in this set is perfect and allows for a variety of color combinations, which is always fun.

Let’s see how the layout came together!

I started by stamping each pomander with different shades of the same color, using the new Altenew Crisp Dye Inks:

  • Baby Pink, Fuchsia, Magenta
  • Iceberg, Eastern Sky, Ultramarine, Azurite
  • Sunray, Chamomile, Marigold, Snapdragon
  • Fresh Leaf.

I love how intense and vibrant these colors are! I stamped three of each color combo, as I wanted to create bigger clusters with them.

Altenew_PrettiestPomander_EnzaGudor2For my background, I sprayed a smooth white cardstock with Altenew’s Metallic Shimmer Ink Spray in Soft Lilac, concentrating on one side of the page. I then arranged the groups of pomanders to form a visual triangle. I felt like something was missing, so I used a cut file to back the clusters and create an extra layer, which in my opinion adds to the delicate look of the design.Altenew_PrettiestPomander_EnzaGudor3I adhered everything down with foam tape to achieve dimension, making sure to let the outer leaves and flowers curve a bit inward for a natural look.

Altenew_PrettiestPomander_EnzaGudor4Once the background was ready, I matted the photo with white cardstock and a patterned paper from the Live Your Dream Scrapbook Collection. The sentiments in the Reason to Smile Stamp Set were perfect for this photo; I stamped a few, trimmed them to size and layered them on the left side of my picture, using foam tape only for a few of them so to create more movement.

Altenew_PrettiestPomander_EnzaGudor5Also from the Live Your Dream Collection are the blue and orange branches that I tucked under the cut files. A small tag at the top of the photo and a few more Soft Lilac splatters finished the layout.

Thank you so much for stopping by! I hope I have inspired you to use the Prettiest Pomander Stamp Set for your next scrapbook layout.

Altenew – Love Layout with the Live Your Dream Collection

Hello, Altenew friends. Today I’m sharing a new layout with the gorgeous Live Your Dream Scrapbook Collection.

The mixed media look of the papers in this collection is absolutely amazing, and the pretty floral images are just perfect, soft and delicate. I wanted to feature different patterns and colors on my page, so I decided to use a cut file.

Here is how the layout came together!

I started with one of my favorite papers; I cut the word “love” out of the same paper and backed it with more lovely designs, alternating pretty patterns to watercolor solids. What I love about the background here is that it includes most of the colors in the collection, making it easier to mix a variety of ephemera pieces.

The big heart was the perfect size to frame my photo.

Once ready, I adhered the cut out word a bit offset to the background paper, just to create more interest, and used foam adhesive for dimension. The embellishments are a combination of Clear Stickers, Chipboard Stickers, as well as fussy cut elements and die-cuts.

I created three clusters with foliage and flowers in coordinating colors, and added sentiments here and there.

Wood Epoxy Buttons and black splatters finished the layout.

I’m pleased with how this page turned out. The Live Your Dream Collection is lovely. I can’t wait to make more with it!

Thank you for stopping by. Have a great day!

Pink Paislee – Little Adventurer – Boy Layout

Hello crafty friends! I’m back today with a new layout featuring the super fun Little Adventurer collection. This time I picked the boy line to document an adorable photo of my little guy when he was five months old. Oh how I love his happy, toothless smile!

I wanted to create a fun, colorful layout, so I die cut lots of stars in different sizes from several papers in the 6×6 Paper Pad. I wasn’t sure about the design at this point; I just knew I wanted to achieve a layered look somehow and use a mix of embellishments around the photo. I trimmed a wide strip from Paper 09 and adhered it to the left side of the background for which I used Paper 10. I placed a scalloped border from the 6×12 Cardboard Sticker Sheet on the left side of the strip, while for the right side I created a huge cluster of stars. I alternated colors and sizes and used foam dots to adhere everything down. The glitter stars are beautiful! They bring in just the right amount of shine and texture.

I partially tucked the photo under the stars, but not before layering frames and die cuts from the Ephemera Pack behind it. I then added more stars and a few stickers. For the bottom of the photo I combined the two adorable stuffed animals and a sentiment.

To finish the layout, I created a smaller cluster with banner-shaped sentiments, a sticker, and a glitter star in the top left corner of the page.

I truly enjoyed playing with this collection, and hope I have inspired you to use it some how! Thank you for stopping by!
