PinkFresh Studio – Mix and Match Collections: Two Layouts

Hello, crafty friends. Today I’m back to share two new layouts with you. One of the things I adore about Pinkfresh is the fact that papers and embellishments from different collections coordinate beautifully and can be easily mixed and matched for a lovely result. I’m a big fan of their amazing patterns, and the colors are just gorgeous.

For the first layout, I went with a summer theme.

The flamingo cut file I used is just adorable. It comes with beautiful tropical flowers that soften the look of the page and give it an exotic look. I started with a white background, as I wanted to do some mixed media. My idea of mixed media is pretty much just a spray or two of ink and some splatters. LOL! It adds so much to the overall design without being overwhelming – soft and delicate while still noticeable. I cut three flamingos in different sizes and arranged them on my prepared background.

I backed the cut files with two patterned papers from the Out and About collection; I used “Tickets” for the wings and “Explore” for the bodies of the flamingos. To back the flowers, I went with a mix of papers from Everyday Musings and Joyful Day, and completed the look with floral puffy stickers for the center.

I matted the photo with a couple of Pocket Cards from Everyday Musings, as well as pieces from the Ephemera Pack, and added a fabric banner and the super fun pinwheels – they just bring in more of the summer feel.

I finished the layout with puffy sticker words and black splatters.

The second layout features the Chipboard Sticker Frames from the Everyday Musings collection.

First, I prepared my background. This time, instead of using ink sprays, I trimmed the “Beautiful” paper in strips of different width and adhered them in the center of my white cardstock, making sure to leave about 1/8” in between.

I wanted to use more of the Pocket Cards, so I thought it would be fun to back the frames with them. I tried to color-coordinate the embellishments, but in the end didn’t have enough, so I just kept adding as I pleased 😉

Except for the yellow frame to the left, the others were mounted on foam adhesive and have a lot of dimension. Before adhering the photo down, I matted it with more paper and backed it with a big white doily, just to add a romantic touch. I finished it with a paper dimensional bow.

For the title, I used a puffy sticker sentiment from the Joyful Day collection, while to bring in a sparkly element, I cut one of the gold puffy sticker flowers in half and arranged them on opposite sides of the layout.

I hope you enjoyed reading about my process and feel inspired to mix and match the gorgeous Pinkfresh collections on your next layout.

Have a lovely day!

PinkFresh Studio – Out And About Collection – Travel Themed Layouts

Hello, Pinkfresh fans. This month I’m bringing you two layouts created with the super fun Out and About collection. This colorful travel line is all you need to document your adventures; I love everything about it, from the unique patterns to the wide variety of embellishments.

My first layout features the Floral Globe cut file, that you can download for free in the Pinkfresh Studio Facebook Fan Group. Check out the album for other cut files as well!

I started by resizing the cut file to obtain three different sizes and welded the images together – I wanted to have one whole piece, but overlapping the three globes would have worked too. I used the Scenic Route paper to back it, as it really brings out the travel theme.

Before adhering the cut file down, I prepared my background. I love how dark colored papers make everything else pop! Here I trimmed the New Places rainbow paper in 1/2” strips and arranged them vertically on both sides of the Traveler paper to form sort of a frame. To bring in more texture, I machine-stitched them in place.

I matted the photo with white textured cardstock and layered several other elements behind it. I first added one of the fun Travel Tags, and continued with die cuts from the Bucket List cut apart sheet, as well as Cardstock Stickers. To embellish the top, I used epoxy stickers from the Mixed Embellishment Pack, Puffy Stickers and other sentiments.

To finish the layout, I created a cluster of embellishments in the top left corner using die cuts and enamel dots, which I also scattered here and there around the globes.

My second layout features the beautiful Stitched Frames. If there is one embellishment I’m always excited about in Pinkfresh Studio collections, this would be it. I love, love, love these ready-to-use frames! I’m a fan of the big size and colorful details.

This page came together in no time. I chose the Travel Icons paper as my background and simply created a big cluster on the left side with three of the Stitched Frames and lots of embellishments.

I layered die cuts and patterned paper behind the frames before adhering them down, and used foam adhesive for dimension. For the top, I combined Cardstock Stickers, Epoxy and Puffy Stickers, and more die cuts.

A title created with the Alpha Puffy Stickers and enamel dots finished the page.

Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you’ll feel inspired to create your next travel themed layout with the gorgeous Out and About collection.

Pinkfresh Studio 5th Birthday Blog Hop Celebration

Hello everyone, and welcome to the Pinkfresh Studio 5th Birthday Blog Hop Celebration. I’m so excited to be part of this huge milestone. I love Pinkfresh and all its gorgeous products! As always, we have great prizes and special discounts. Make sure you check the bottom of my post and leave a comment for a chance to win.

You should have arrived from Laurie Willison‘s blog.

The project I’m sharing today uses one of my favorite collections: Everyday Musings. The colors are just so beautiful, and the patterns fun and unique.

I started by adhering a wide strip of patterned paper vertically to my background. I used the Time For Fun and Good Times papers, while to create a border along the edges, I tucked two thin strips from the Present And Perfect paper underneath. The cut file by Anett Gelencsér, that you can find here, worked perfectly for this page and gave it just that soft look I was going for. I opted to not back it with patterned paper, as I wanted the pretty background to show.

Next, I matted my photo and added lots of beautiful embellishments from the Ephemera Pack around it; flowers, potted plants and sentiments frame the photo and bring in a fun and delicate element.

To balance the top left side, I added a cluster of embellishments in the opposite corner. Here I used the same flowers and plants, but also added three frames and a sentiment.

To finish the layout, I arranged the title at the bottom of the page and splattered some black paint here and there.

Now onto the prizes! There will be three Grand Prizes picked from the Pinkfresh blog: Liquid Watercolor full set, Set of the 3 current paper collections, and the entire April Essentials die release (which will go live on April 8th).
