Altenew – Love Layout with the Live Your Dream Collection

Hello, Altenew friends. Today I’m sharing a new layout with the gorgeous Live Your Dream Scrapbook Collection.

The mixed media look of the papers in this collection is absolutely amazing, and the pretty floral images are just perfect, soft and delicate. I wanted to feature different patterns and colors on my page, so I decided to use a cut file.

Here is how the layout came together!

I started with one of my favorite papers; I cut the word “love” out of the same paper and backed it with more lovely designs, alternating pretty patterns to watercolor solids. What I love about the background here is that it includes most of the colors in the collection, making it easier to mix a variety of ephemera pieces.

The big heart was the perfect size to frame my photo.

Once ready, I adhered the cut out word a bit offset to the background paper, just to create more interest, and used foam adhesive for dimension. The embellishments are a combination of Clear Stickers, Chipboard Stickers, as well as fussy cut elements and die-cuts.

I created three clusters with foliage and flowers in coordinating colors, and added sentiments here and there.

Wood Epoxy Buttons and black splatters finished the layout.

I’m pleased with how this page turned out. The Live Your Dream Collection is lovely. I can’t wait to make more with it!

Thank you for stopping by. Have a great day!

The Live Your Dream Scrapbook Collection is bright and elegant and you can use it to document any occasion; from the little daily moments to bigger milestones like parties and birthdays. It is also very versatile and perfect for many different projects, such as 12×12 layouts, pocket scrapbooking, cards, home decor, and much more.

It contains:

  • 16 sheets of 12×12 double-sided patterned papers (2 of each/16 different designs)
  • 2 6″x12″ sheets of puffy alphabet stickers (220 pieces)
  • 2 6″x12″ sheets of chipboard stickers (38 pieces)
  • 2 6″x12″ sheets of clear stickers (31 pieces)
  • 1 pack of wood epoxy buttons (20 pieces)
  • 1 pack of die-cut cardstock embellishments (32 pieces).

Here is my layout:

I fell in love with a beautiful patterned paper featuring huge flowers in orange and pink shades , so I decided to fussy cut it entirely and back it with a soft white and green polka dot paper. I kept the design of the original paper as is, but gave the flowers a bit of dimension with foam adhesive.

For the photo, I matted it with several layers of patterned paper, as well as sentiments from the Ephemera pack. I then created a big cluster under the top left side with leaves from the 6”x12” clear sticker sheet that I had previously adhered to white cardstock and fussy cut – this simple step gave my embellishments some texture and allowed me to move them around easily.

Next, I chose my title, which came in the die-cut embellishment pack, and finished the layout with the beautiful wooden buttons and enamel dots.

Now onto the prizes! To celebrate this release, Altenew is giving away a $50 gift certificate to 6 lucky winners! Please leave a comment on the Altenew Card Blog and/or Altenew Scrapbook Blog by 2/28/2019 for a chance to win. 6 winners will be announced on the Altenew blogs on 3/3/2019.
