Hello, Altenew fans. Enza here with you to share a new layout featuring the beautiful Layered Floral Elements Die Set.
This set is all you need to create pretty embellishments for your projects. As you can see, I got a little carried away, but it was fun. Plus, who doesn’t love big bouquets of flowers?
Let’s see how it came together!
I started by die cutting several layered flowers from patterned paper. I used the Reflection Scrapbook Collection, as the colors are perfect for a fall look. I love the shades of red, yellow, and pink, as well as the watercolor accents.
I created two big clusters in opposite corners of the page and layered my elements making sure to use foam dots for dimension. For the bottom layer, I used a cut file that included a variety of different leaves. I think it adds more interest and completes the look in a subtle way.
Once the clusters were ready, I used another cut file for the title. Again, the patterned paper came from the Reflection Scrapbook Collection.
The last thing I needed to add was the photo. I kept it simple, with no extra embellishments, as the background was already pretty busy. Enamel dots and black paint splatters finished the layout.
I love how this page came together. The Layered Floral Elements Die Set is perfect to create embellishments for any type of projects. I was thinking of using felt next, maybe. 😉
Thank you so much for stopping by. Have a great day!
Hello, crafty friends! I’m back today with a set of simple Christmas cards featuring the gorgeous A Charming Christmas collection by Becca Feeken for Spellbinders. Two are the die sets I focused on: Holly Jolly Christmas, and Charming Christmas Words. I love the versatility of these dies, and the ability to combine them for a very festive look.
For the first card, I used the Charming Christmas Words to create the background for my card panel. This is a set of six dies with the phrase HO HO HO, FA LA LA and NOEL in a border format with an inner word pattern and an outline for each. I alternated the three word strips, trying to maintain the same distance between them. I didn’t want to measure everything, so I just eye-balled it.
For the center, I used a die cut from the lovely Merry Days collection by Crate Paper. To make the wreath look more finished and “full”, I die cut several holly leaves from the Holly Jolly Christmas set and arranged them around it.
The second card is a bit more layered. I mostly used the Holly Jolly Christmas die set, which includes nine beautiful dies: three frames in different sizes, a large intricate inset design, as well as a small one, a Merry Christmas sentiment, and the holly designs I used on the previous card.
I started by adding stitched detailing to an A2 card panel with one the outline dies from the Charming Christmas Words set. I then did the same with the second layer; this time I used a different border for variety. I also used the FA LA LA word die to add a fun and festive element. The small inset design created the perfect window to “display” presents, holly leaves, and a holiday sentiment. Nuvo Crystal Drops in Red Berry finished the card.
These die sets are a must have for your holiday paper crafting needs. I hope you enjoyed my cards, and would love to hear what you think!
Have a lovely day!

The layout I’m sharing today features the following products: Brilliant Baubles Stamp Set and coordinating Dies, and Layered Snowflakes Die.
I went with a light and “snowy” page with pops of bright, traditional Christmas colors.
I started by stamping the baubles using a mix of Crisp Dye Inks in green and red tones. The variety of size and shapes in this set makes it a must have. I love the different options and possibilities, especially when it comes to having fun with color combinations.
Next, I created a circular design with the layered snowflakes. I die cut many of them from smooth white cardstock, and covered some with Nuvo Glimmer Paste in Moonstone color for added shine.
After placing the photo in the middle of the wreath, I adhered the baubles on both sides of it to create a frame. Foam dots were used here to bring in more dimension. I then stamped and heat-embossed the sentiment, which also comes in the Brilliant Baubles Set, on white cardstock; I matted it with black cardstock and arranged it on top of the photo. As a finishing touch, I added lots of soft pink enamel dots in the center of the snowflakes.
