Clique Kits – Locker Room: Mini Album

Hello everyone! Enza here with a mini album to share with you today using the beautiful Clique Kits July Pool Party Travelers Notebook kit.

The idea for my mini was to have a 2017 album with only one picture per month. I do this a lot. I use the same concept for my TN. I think it’s fun to look at random pictures and get a feel of how our life is/was during that given year. You will also notice there is no journaling. The reason for it is that I usually include the full stories in our Project Life albums. Sometimes I just want to look at pictures and pretty papers 🙂

The 4×6 cards from the Ain’t Life Grand collection included in the kit are just the right size. I started by cutting a few tag shapes from different patterned papers and adhered them back to back. I love how thick the papers are. There is no need to add extra cardstock in between the layers to make your pages stronger, which saves time and money 😉 Once all my pages were ready, I embellished them with a variety of elements. A mix of ephemera pieces, exclusive cut files and printables from the Clique store, and some stitching added that layered, unique look I love.

Here is the front:

Here is the back:
The alpha stickers I used were included in the June Aquarelle kit. The copper color coordinates perfectly with the Pool Party TN kit.

Some of the cut files were modified to fit the tag shape. Same idea was used for a couple of pictures, as well as the 3×4 cards that come in the kit. I just adhered them back to back, cut the top corners, and punched a hole to fit the other tags.

I hope you enjoyed reading about my process and will maybe use your Traveler’s Notebook kit to make a fun and colorful mini album.

Until next time. Have a lovely day!

Clique Kits – Field Notes: Punches and Mixed Media

Hello, Clique fans! I’m here today to share a new Traveler’s Notebook spread for Clique Kits. Look at all the fabulous goodies in the July Pool Party Travelers Notebook kit!

I went back to my good ol’ punches again. This is a floral border one from Martha Stewart that I have had in my stash for quite a while. The idea was to create a colorful background using different patterned paper from the Ain’t Life Grand collection featured in the kit.

On the opposite side of the page, I used a mixed media paper from Kaisercraft that came in the May Sorbet kit. After cutting it to fit, I simply colored it with a mini ink blending tool and shades of ink that matched the colors in the papers. One of the sentiments from the collection served as my title, which was placed in the center of the page and backed with some thread for added texture.

I layered the photo with a mix of patterned papers. The journaling, as well as some sentiments, were typed and then cut into strips.

Thank you for stopping by today! I hope you felt inspired to use the July Pool Party Travelers Notebook Kit on your pages and maybe give your punches a try 😉

Have a lovely day!

The Cut Shoppe – Hello Life

Hello friends! Today I’m bringing you a new layout for The Cut Shoppe featuring the Say Anything cut file set.

Finding a title for my layouts is always a struggle. Anything that comes to mind sounds and looks silly, so I end up using the same words over and over again. This awesome cut file set has some sentiments that are perfect if you, like me, are lacking imagination 😉

I enlarged one of the sentiments to fit my 12×12 background paper. The collection I used is the gorgeous Dream On collection by Pink Fresh Studio. I chose one of the patterned papers for the cut file and used other ones to back it. I also created an outline for the cut file as I wanted to add a border to it. To give it more dimension, I used foam dots to adhere the title down.

Once I had that in place, I started building my layers behind the photo.

To balance off the big title, I cut out two strips of patterned paper in different colors and placed them in the top portion of my page. I also decided to stitch around the edges to add more texture. I repeated the stitching in the bottom left corner of the layout as well. Lots of fun embellishments finished the layout.

Thank you for stopping by today. Don’t forget to check out The Cut Shoppe Etsy store for this great cut file set.

Have a lovely day!
