Pinkfresh Studio May Essentials Release Blog Hop

Hello there, PF fans! I’m so excited to be part of the Pinkfresh Studio May Essentials Release Blog Hop. So many new, amazing stand alone dies that every crafter needs in their stash.

You should have arrived from the super talented Emily Midgett‘s blog.

Today I’m sharing three cards created with some of the sets. I had a lot of fun playing with them.

The first card features the Lacey Edgers 1 and the Fancy Label Frames sets.

I started by trimming the “Ticket” patterned paper from the Out and About collection to measure 3.5 x 4 inches; I then chose plain cardstock in coordinating colors to add detail and interest. I used one of the Lacey Edgers to cut two borders, one from coral cardstock, the other from pink cardstock. I adhered the first at bottom edge and the second at the top, where I had also added a strip of coral paper to make the lacey edger more visible.

For the sentiment, I created a dimensional piece by layering three of the Fancy Label Frames. Again, I went with coral and pink and used foam adhesive in between the layers. The “Hello” sentiment comes from the Classic Words Die Set, which was released in April. Two puffy stickers from the Joyful Day collection and twine wrapped around the spine finished the card.

For the second card I used the Braided Circles set and the gorgeous Crystal Mix.

These crystals are absolutely beautiful! They’re colorful and sparkly, perfect for shaker cards. I created my window with the bigger circle die; after adhering a piece of acetate to the back, I filled it up with pink crystals and foam mounted the whole frame to the Out and About “Ticket” patterned paper cut to size. Next, I die cut another circle to place inside the window. I love how the coral cardstock pops against the soft, pink card base. To embellish, I used die cuts and stickers from Joyful Day and Everyday Musings, while for the sentiment, I again went back to the Classic Words Die Set.

The third card is very simple, but I like how it turned out 🙂

I layered patterned paper, one of the Braided Circles, a wreath from Joyful Day (which I backed with coral cardstock) and a few, fun die cuts. Easy peasy.

Now onto the prizes! To celebrate this release, Pinkfresh is giving away the full May Essentials release on their blog and IG feed.

I will also be giving away a $25 gift card to their store.

The winner will be picked randomly on Monday, May 27th and will be posted on the Pinkfresh Studio GIVEAWAY PAGE. Make sure you check that page & claim your prize within 2 weeks.
