Hello there, PP fans! Today I’m sharing a new set of cards using the Little Adventurer collection; although this is a baby themed collection, it worked perfectly for Valentine’s Day cards. You can’t go wrong with soft colors and love sentiments, right? 😉
I decided to make heart-shaped card bases and for that I used the Heart Mini Album cut file designed by Paige Evans. In order to create the folded heart base for the cards, I opened the plain heart design in the Silhouette Studio software, mirrored the image, and welded the edges together. Once cut, I simply scored where the fold would be, and set them aside.
Next, I picked two other designs from the same set; this time more intricate, as I wanted to back them with patterned paper. For the heart with the scalloped design, I cut an extra heart in the middle, so to create an additional opening. I backed both with patterned paper before adhering them to the card bases with foam adhesive.
The embellishments here are very simple. For the first card I added a floral die cut from the Ephemera Pack with a “Love” chipboard sticker sentiment.
For the second card, I fussy cut the floral cluster from one of the papers in the 6×6 Paper Pad, arranged gold thread behind it, and topped it with a sweet sentiment.
What do you think? Are you inspired to make your own heart-shaped cards? Thank you for stopping by today!
