Pink Paislee – Little Adventurer: Girl Layout

Hello PP fans. Today I’m bringing you my first layout using the new Little Adventurer collection. I went with the girl line with its soft, delicate colors and sweet sentiments. I love that the patterns are very versatile and not necessarily baby-related, including tiny flowers & hearts, and more generic ones such as chevron & stripes.

Here is my layout:

I started by partially backing a floral cut file with patterned paper from the 6×6 Paper Pad. My initial idea was to arrange the flowers behind the photos and create what would have looked like a frame, but I wanted to incorporate more papers and colors, so I decided to change my design. I adhered a 3-inch paper strip at the bottom of my page and tucked the stems of the cut file in it – I cut the image twice to achieve a fuller look and have more flowers to place around the page. I also added a strip from Paper 01 to cover the seam where the two papers met and bring in another pattern.

After matting the photo with white cardstock, I built several layers behind it with die cuts from the ephemera pack to build dimension. I then arranged chipboard stickers and wooden hearts on the left side of the photo, while for the opposite side I chose a “baby” sentiment and a banner.

At this point I felt like I needed something for the top portion of the layout to balance the lower part. I added two thinner strips from the same patterned paper I used for the bottom as well as a small cluster of embellishments.

I love how this layout turned out and I’m happy I got to document this sweet photo with such a beautiful collection. Thank you so much for stopping by. Have a lovely day!
