Hello, friends! I’m back today to share a few cards created with the Spellbinders December 2018 Card Kit of the Month. This kit, called Winter Wishes, includes a 40 sheet paper pad, clear stamps, an adorable die set, and tons of embellishments, giving you everything you need to make 10 cards or more! It’s a great deal, and you don’t want to miss it.
I absolutely love the soft, wintery colors of this kit. The copper foiled sheet is amazing, and perfect for embellishments and sentiments. One of my favorite elements is the glitter washi tape; it comes in two shades, gold and brown, and is so beautiful!
Here is the first set of cards:
For the first card, I used the copper foiled cardstock to die cut little berries and the sentiment.
The jar is one of the die cuts the comes in the kit, while for the sprigs I die cut them from light blue cardstock, as well as from cardstock I previously adhered the glittery washi tape to. I mounted everything with foam dots for dimension, and added enamel dots to finish the card.
The second card features mainly die cuts.
I adhered one of the beautiful patterned papers from the kit onto brown cardstock, covered the portion where the two met with washi tape, and created a cluster of embellishments towards the right side of the panel. Easy peasy. The sentiment is also provided in the kit.
The third card is a combination of the Monthly Card Kit Extras, which can also be purchased seperately. I used the Winter Wishes Paper Pad, the Mason Jar Stamp Set, and the Gold Glitter Alphabet Stickers to create this festive look.
I started by stamping the star image onto a large strip of patterned paper three times – I opted to heat-emboss it as well, just to give it a more glittery look. I added the sentiment and enamel dots before adhering the strip onto the bottom layer. I finished the card with twine in coordinating colors.
I also have an additional set of cards to share:
I created a wreath with several dies that come in the kit for the first card.
Again, I covered white cardstock with glitter washi tape and die cut the sprigs. For the flowers I used patterned paper, as well as the gorgeous copper foiled sheet for the center. The banner sentiment is also part of the kit.
For my last card, I simply trimmed and layered several patterned papers for a nested look; I adhered them down with foam adhesive for dimension before heat-embossing the sentiment directly onto the top layer. I then embellished it with copper foiled snowflakes, a beautiful die cut, and enamel dots.
That is all for today, my friends. I truly enjoyed playing with the December 2018 Card Kit of the Month, and I have so many supplies left!
