Altenew Build-A-Flower: Flourishing Zinnia Blog Hop + Giveaway

Hello, and welcome to the Altenew Build-A-Flower: Flourishing Zinnia Blog Hop + Giveaway.
You should have arrived from Laura Jane‘s blog. Here is the full list for your convenience:
Enza Gudor –You are here–
The new BAF: Flourishing Zinnia is another stunning creation by Altenew; with its large size, and multiple building layers, this flower has a very realistic and gorgeous look.
Here is the layout I created for today:
Layout by @enzamg for @altenew using BAF: Flourishing Zinnia. #altenew #scrapbooking #stamping #baf
I started by spraying my background with Altenew Frosty Pink Shimmer Ink Spray, and let it dry. I stamped the zinnias with the following Crisp Dye Inks: Pink Diamond, Pinkalicious, Rubellite, and Razzleberry; to achieve variety in color, I used Coral Berry for one of the layers on some of them. The leaves were stamped with Frayed Leaf, Forest Glades and Evergreen.

At this point I realized I wanted to fill in the empty spaces with more leaves, so I die cut some of them with the Peony Dream 3D Die Set. I used smooth white cardstock, that I then sprayed with a mix of Frayed Leaf and Forest Glades Ink Sprays.

I stamped one of the sentiments from the More Than Words Stamp Set directly on the background, while for the wavy banner, I used parts of stamps from the Crafty Life Set.

  4. Beautiful layout! Your stamped zinnias look so “real.” I grew ten large pots of zinnias in my yard this summer from seed packets. I was amazed how easy to grow they were plus gave me (and friends) bouquets of lovely colorful flowers! It was fun watering them seeing all the different colors plus they attract butterflies! Needless to say I “need” this set and it is on the top of my “want” list. 😉
