Hello, PP friends! Today I’m sharing a new layout featuring the super cute Wild Child collection. I couldn’t wait to make a page about my little one’s first day of school! She was so happy and ready, it was a joy to watch!
I started by choosing the cut file I wanted to use. My idea was to create a frame for the photo and embellish it with all kinds of ephemera pieces and stickers. The Frame cut file designed by Paige drew my attention for the interesting shape and the lovely flowers around it. I backed the middle portion first with Paper 06 – I love the soft, feminine colors! Then, using a darker strip from the same paper, I backed the smaller portion of the petals. For the rest I used patterned papers in the Wild Child Girl 6×6 Paper Pad. Some parts of the cut files were left as is; I like to see the background paper through the negative spaces.
I matted the photo with patterned papers and die cuts from the girl line and adhered it down with foam adhesive. I then arranged more pieces, such as puffy stickers, chipboard stickers, and fussy cut flowers in between the layers to add variety and color.
The title, for which I used chipboard stickers, fit perfectly in the right corner of the frame.
To complete the look of the layout, I added rub-on stars and fussy cut flowers on the outside of the cut file, as well as two strips of the same patterned papers used to back the flowers in the bottom portion of the page. I also included a lovely sentiment that comes in the 6×12 Sticker Sheet – I thought it was perfect for the theme of the layout.
Thank you for stopping by today! I hope this has given you some ideas for your next back-to-school layout!
