Hello PP friends! Today I’m sharing a new set of cards created for Pink Paislee with the gorgeous Auburn Lane collection. The fall season is upon us, so why not start making everyday cards to send to family and friends?
The color scheme for my cards today includes greens and pinks with pops of gold.
The first card combines several layers. I started by creating a leaf frame with a craft die from my stash then backed the middle opening with a floral patterned paper from the 6×8 Paper Pad, while for the outer portion I used a pink grid patterned paper.
I then die cut several leaves in different shapes and sizes. I love the gold details in the papers from the 6×8 Paper Pad; they just add the right amount of shine without being overwhelming. I arranged two fabric flowers from the collection in the top left portion of the card panel and layered the leaves all around it to form a cluster.
For the sentiment, I used a die cut from the Ephemera Pack and to give it dimension I foam-mounted it and added gold thread behind it before adhering it down. The gold thread just brings it all together.
The second card is simpler. I still combined several layers, but didn’t use any die cuts or cut files.
First, I trimmed my card panel to measure 4×5.25” and for that I used the same pink grid patterned paper I used on the first card. Next, I built some layers behind the sentiment card, which I cut from the cut-apart sheet, and added fussy-cut leaves from the Vellum Specialty Paper on the left side. A paper clip and yellow ribbon completed the look.
I finished the card panel with rub-on flowers that I arranged on the same side of the vellum fussy-cut leaves. I like the contrast they create and the added layer of texture they bring. Lastly, I adhered the panel to the card base for which I used a green patterned paper with gold accents from the 6×8 Paper Pad.
I hope you enjoyed these examples and will feel inspired to start creating your set of cards for the upcoming fall season.
