Hello there crafty friends! I know we are in the middle of summer, but I couldn’t resist making a fall layout. My kids start school in a couple of weeks and that for me officially marks the beginning of the new season. I came across this photo from last September while working on another project and I had to use it for my page today.
The gorgeous Auburn Lane collection is so perfect and really makes you feel those fall, cozy vibes. I started by cutting the Home Sweet Home cut file by Paige Evans from white cardstock and backed it with different patterned papers. Before adhering it down, I fussy-cut many flowers and leaves from Paper 03 and just arranged them here and there below the cut file, making sure to have some of them come through the letters.
I then used the beautiful fabric flowers to add more interest and dimension to the layout. I LOVE these flowers! I would buy a million of them! They instantly bring a feminine, delicate touch to your projects.
Next, the photo. I layered it with patterned papers and tabs before embellishing it with die cuts and sentiment. To give it dimension, I adhered it down with foam adhesive and also added more of the fabric flowers at the bottom left corner. Repeating elements brings the layout together and makes it cohesive.
Lastly, I glued a strip of paper at the very bottom of the page, distressed the edge a bit, and tucked two houses underneath it.
I’m very pleased with the way this layout turned out. Are you ready for fall? I certainly am. Thank you for stopping by! Have a great day!
