Today is all about two lovely collections:

The cutting dies I used for my cards come from the Special Moments collection: Laced Flowers, Floral Lace Border, and Special Day Frame. I love how dainty and intricate these designs are!

For the first card, I concentrated my elements in the center.

I wanted to create lots of dimension, so I decided to layer several die cuts and use foam adhesive to adhere one on top of the other. I started with the bigger circle die that comes in the Special Day Frame set, followed by one of the swirl and circle shapes, and finished with two gorgeous layers of Laced Flowers. I then die cut many single flower shapes from the Floral Lace Border set and arranged them all around the edge of the circle for extra interest, and also for a more finished look.

The second card features layers of gorgeous Laced Flowers.

I started by die cutting the three different sizes directly from my card panel. I love that the darker patterned paper comes through bringing in a contrasting element. Keeping the same color scheme of the first card, I die cut the flowers and nested them before adhering them down. I diminished the layers going from the bottom to the top of the card, so you can see that the bottom flowers has three layers, the second has two, and so on. A simple sentiment and Crystal Nuvo Drops finished the card.

  1. Both are beautiful, and making me want to go pull out all my pretty papers and play! Love the direct cut on the panel of the second card and the way the dark blue really enhances the design. Thank you.

  3. There are some lovely stamps and dies in these collections. That Oval trellis die from Marisa is particularly beautiful! And your card inspiration is wonderful!

  4. Gorgeous projects both the large floral and the smaller ones. I love how the dark card stock comes through from under the petals and through the holes in the pattern on the petals also. I have never thought of using my Nuvo drops for the centre of flowers; but I certainly will do in the future thank you. :o) TFS xxx

  5. Your cards are quite lovely. I especially love the flowers popped up off of the card base so the color peeks through behind them. Great job! TFS!
