Altenew – Layout With Build-A-Flower: Ranunculus Stamp Set

Layout by @enzamg for @Altenew. #scrapbooking #stampingHello, Altenew fans! Enza here and today I’m sharing a layout created with the gorgeous Build-A Flower: Ranunculus stamp set. What I love about it is not only the flower itself (which is one of my favorites) but also the big size. Whether you use it for a card or in a cluster on a layout, you are sure to get amazing results.

I started by inking the white cardstock I used as a background with Altenew Ink Sprays in Frosty Pink and Warm Sunshine. I simply spritzed each color onto the paper a couple of times and allowed it to dry. I had already decided on the shades I wanted my ranunculus to be so pink and yellow created just a bed of color that complemented the stamped images.

The outline of flowers and leaves were stamped with Permanent Black Ink, while for the petals I used the following Crisp Dye Inks:
  • Yellow flowers: Citrus Burst, Mango Smoothie, Warm Sunshine
  • Coral flowers: Peach Perfect, Pink Pearl, Coral Bliss
  • Leaves: Rose Quartz, Morning Frost, Moon Rock.

I often use cut files as a bottom layer before arranging my elements on a page. This time, I have a branch that goes from the bottom to the top of the layout and curves a little bit inward, adding movement and more interest. I placed my stamped images around the branch, and adhered them down with foam tape.

The “awesome” title, as well as the chipboard sticker, the tiny tag, and the Day 1, 2, 3 came from the Reflection Scrapbook Collection.

At this point, I knew I wanted more black around the page, so I decided to stamp a few sentiments on black cardstock with Clear Embossing Ink, which I then heat-embossed with Pure White Embossing Powder. Some sentiments come from the Beautiful Quotes Stamp Set, others from the Rustic Linen and the Build-A-Flower: Ranunculus ones.

I finished the layout with a couple of shaped paper clips from my stash and black splatters. I hope you enjoyed my process and will feel inspired to use the gorgeous Build-A-Flower: Ranunculus on your next project.

Thank you for stopping by!
