Hello everyone! Today I’m back to share a layout for Pink Paislee, and this week the theme is summer. I loved putting this page together. The colors, the picture, and the fun embellishments make me think of summer and fun days at the beach.
I started with a blue ombre patterned paper as my background. I like the way the dark color makes everything pop and just brings the page to life. My idea was to have a big title, so I enlarged the Floral Font cut file designed by Paige to the size I wanted and spelled the word “summer”. This font is just lovely, with its floral elements and flow-y cursive. I decided to simply back it with a variety of patterned papers from the Pick-Me-Up 6×6 Paper Pad, but instead of using white cardstock to cut the letters, I went with a pastel patterned paper from last year’s Summer Lights collection.
Once I had the letters ready, I adhered them down with foam dots and embellished around them with die cuts, puffy stickers, chipboard stickers, and sequins. For more interest, I used the tiny flowers from the Rub-Ons sheet and scattered them here and there around the title; the peach suede bow from the Take Me Away collection also added a fun element.
Next, I worked on the layers behind my picture. I chose patterned papers, a tag, die cuts, as well as a frame from the Turn the Page collection. Again, I used foam dots to pop everything up and achieve dimension.
I finished the layout with sentiment stickers, chipboard hearts, and white paint splatters.
I hope you feel inspired to create a big title on your next summer layout using the gorgeous Pink Paislee collections. Thank you for stopping by!
