Hey there crafty friends! Today I’m kicking off Paper Pads week on the Pink Paislee blog. Paper Pads are versatile and convenient and can be used for any project in a variety of ways. I love the smaller sizes as they feature a miniature version of the bigger patterned papers, but also the 12×12 one that groups most of the papers in a collection, sometimes with foil accents, and usually contains doubles of them so you don’t take the risk of running out 😉
My layout was mostly created with papers from the Pick-Me-Up Paper Pads: 2×2”, 6×6”, and 12×12”.
I started by cutting a big title from one of the 12×12” papers. I went with a solid color, as I knew I wanted to back each letter with papers from the 2×2” Paper Pads. The clean lines of the Label Maker Font cut file worked perfectly for the idea I had in mind.
I prepared my background with scalloped strips that I fussy cut from Oh My Heart Paper 17 and hand-stitched with coordinating embroidery floss onto white cardstock. Once all the letters were ready, I arranged them on top of the strips in a wonky way. You can see I decreased the size of the letters slightly as they went down the page, so to draw the eye towards the photos. I kept the embellishments around the pictures pretty minimal – a few die cuts and chipboard stickers, just to add color, and a camera and “Love You” banner which were fussy cut from the 2×2” Paper Pads.
I’m pretty happy with how this layout turned out! Paper Pads are a must-have in your stash and sometimes they’re all you need to create amazing projects!
Thank you for stopping by!
