Hello, Altenew fans!
Enza here, and today I’m bringing you a rainbow layout using the Frosted Garden Stamp Set and coordinating dies.
I have been so inspired by similar projects lately that I had to make my own version.
I started by stamping my background with Evening Gray Crisp Dye Ink. I used a stamping tool, which helped a lot in terms of time as I could stamp multiple images at once, but you can certainly do the same with a stamping block. I wanted to create a circular opening in the middle, so I just traced a round shape onto my paper as a guide for my stamping.
I then continued with stamping the images in different shades on a separate cardstock, trying to gradually change from one color to the other, and creating a rainbow effect. Starting with the yellow and continuing clockwise, here are the Crisp Dye Inks that I used: Citrus Burst, Maple Yellow, Warm Sunshine, Pink Pearl, Coral Bliss, Cotton Candy, Frayed Leaf, Forest Glades, Sweet Leaf, Lagoon, Dew Drops, Lavender Fields, and Soft Lilac.
After cutting the flowers with the coordinating dies, I arranged them around the border created by the stamped background, making sure to slightly overlap them for a more natural feel. I used foam squares to adhere everything down and give lots of dimension to the design.
I created several layers behind the picture with vellum and patterned paper from the Our Family Scrapbook Collection, wrapped some twine around the whole cluster, and added a sentiment from the Crafty Life Stamp Set. Also from the same set is the “Love” label; I stamped it repeatedly in the same colors I used for the flowers and placed them behind the photo.
Enamel dots around the wreath finished the layout.
I enjoyed making this layout. I love how the neutral color of the background makes all the other colors pop. Do you like rainbow combinations? I think it might be one of my favorites!
Thank you for stopping by!
Super duper page!
