Hello friends! I am back today to share a project created with the new Altenew Build-A-Flower: Morning Glory set.
This set, which includes 1 6×8 stamp set (21 stamp images) and 1 coordinating die set (3 dies), contains two beautiful multi-layered morning glories along with leaves and vines. Morning glories produce typical funnel-shaped blossoms in white, red, blue, purple, and yellow. You may stamp these flowers in any Altenew ink colors to get great results!
I went with a home décor project this time.
The diagonal design was the starting point. I used a floral border cut file (ID #249910) as my guide. I cut it out of white cardstock and gave it some color by blending Frayed Leaf Crisp Ink all over it and Evergreen just on the edges. I then started stamping my flowers. Here are the colors of Crisp Ink I used:
- blue flowers: Caribbean Sky, Turquoise, Persian Blue, Sapphire
- orange flowers: Pink Pearl, Peach Perfect, Heart Beat
- leaves: Sweet Leaf, Hunter Green
To make the diagonal design stand out more and give some color to the background, I used a dotted patterned paper from the Reflection Collection in the top portion of the page. I then placed the cut file along the edge between the two papers.
Once I had everything in place, I arranged flowers and leaves on top of the cut file, foam mounting them to achieve lots of dimension.
To finish the project, I stamped vine swirls around the whole design and added light green enamel dots, as well as green splatters with the Frayed Leaf Shimmer Ink Spray.
I really love how it turned out . Don’t you think it would be the perfect present for Mother’s Day? 😉
