Hello friends! Today I want to share a new set of cards created with the beautiful Wild Heart collection by Crate Paper. I have been enjoying making cards lately, and this collection is just too fun to put down.
Whenever I have scraps of paper left, I try to find different ways to use them. One of the techniques that I love, especially on cards, is paper weaving.
For the first card, I built my panel with layers of patterned paper. I cut strips out of the Hustle paper and created the weaved piece before adhering it down. I used foam adhesive in between layers for dimension.
Next, I chose the embellishments to go on top. I like incorporating tags on my projects, so I decided to go with the gold-foiled one, to which I added die-cuts and hearts from the sticker sheet. The round chipboard sticker with the sentiment on it completed the card. Easy peasy! It literally took me half an hour to make this card 🙂
On the second card, I used the paper weaved piece to create a strip of paper towards the bottom.
This card has more elements on it. I layered some leftover leaves that I had embossed for a previous project, die-cuts and chipboard stickers. The opening in the chipboard sticker was the perfect place for the dimensional ribbon. I covered the sentiment that was printed on it with a label sticker and added the “Much Love” one.
I then finished the card with some sentiment stickers that I tucked underneath the chipboard piece on the left side.
Sometimes it’s fun to just create simple and easy cards with paper scraps you have in your stash. Have you ever tried the paper weaving technique? I love it!
Thank you for stopping by!
