I have created four cards for this hop. Two for my dad and two for my mom.

I love all the images in the Best Dad Stamp set. They are versatile and perfect to

create a variety of different cards.

Here is my first one:

I went for a colorful card. Masculine but also very vibrant. I started by stamping all the images with Altenew Permanent Black Crisp Ink and colored them with a combination of Artist Markers from all the three sets: A, B, and C. I then used the coordinating dies to cut them out.

For the card panel, I decided to create my own background by blending Altenew Tide Blue Crisp Ink onto a full 4.25”x5.5” smooth white cardstock. Since my idea was to adhere all the colorful images on top of it, I needed something that created some separation and made the colors pop. So I die-cut a white panel with the Watercolor Striped Cover Die and placed it on top of the blue base. I foam mounted the die cut images towards the left side of the card and added the sentiment, which was heat-embossed with Altenew Pure White Embossing Powder onto black cardstock.

The second card is completely different. I went with a monochromatic and more “serious” look.

I simply heat-hembossed all the images with Pure White Embossing Powder onto a 4”x5.25” blue wood grain card panel. I varied the orientation of the stamps to bring in a fun element. I then die-cut two stars with the Halftone Stars Nesting Die Set and adhered them in the center of the card. I used foam adhesive in between the layers for dimension. The heat-embossed sentiment on black cardstock finished the card.

Now for my mom…

The first card features entirely the Painted Rose Stamp & Die Bundle. I love every single piece in this stamp set. The rose is delicate and elegant, just perfect!

I stamped the rose with Pink Diamond, Pinkalicious, and Razzleberry Crips Inks, while for the leaves I used Frayed Leaf, Forest Glades, and Evergreen.

Again, I heat-embossed the background. This time white on white, as I wanted to blend some inks onto the paper to make the images pop. By the way, the images you see are just the base layer of the leaves. I was told they look like strange birds, but it’s okay. I like them that way 😉 Once the background was ready, I layered two strips of wood grain paper, wrapped some twine around them, and adhered them towards the bottom of the card. I foam mounted rose and leaves for dimension and added a sentiment from the Sewn With Love Stamp Set on top.

For my final card I went with a different color scheme.

After using the Cross Stitch Canvas Die to give my card panel some texture, I blended Fresh Lemon Crisp Ink in the center. The rose was stamped with Frosty Pink, Peach Perfect, and Heart Beat Crisp Inks, so the yellow coordinated perfectly with it. I also had some leftover embossed background paper from the previous card, and decided to die-cut some rose leaves with the Rose Filament Die Set. I layered die-cut leaves, stamped leaves, and adhered the rose on top of them with foam adhesive.

I heat-embossed the sentiment with Translucent Pearl Embossing Powder, mounted the panel onto a green wood grain card base, and finished it all with white and yellow enamel dots.
