Hi friends! I am back today with a new set of cards for “Spring” week. When I think about spring I think of flowers and butterflies, pretty colors and fun patterns. The Pick-me-up collection includes all of these things and more – it’s just perfect to give your project that spring feel.
Both cards are square, measuring 5.25×5.25 inches. I like big cards; I can put more embellishments on them 😉
The first one has a pink polka dot background. I simply layered one of the 3×4 cards from the cut-apart sheet on top of a scalloped die-cut frame, and gave it dimension with foam adhesive.
I then adhered three floral chipboard stickers on the right side and some twine on the opposite side, both to balance the design and bring in something “special”. I wrapped the twine around the top panel of the card three times and added the super cute shaped sequins along the string, in between the swirls.
Tiny puffy sticker flowers added the final touch.
For the second card, I used the Butterfly Background cut file (ID #257774) designed by Paige Evans. I reduced its size to fit the card and backed it with all sorts of colorful papers.
The top panel has three layers of patterned paper on it to add an extra element of color and make the cut file pop a little more.
I kept the rest of the card simple – just a sentiment and some gold thread to repeat the same gold accents of some of the papers.
I’m pleased with how these cards turned out. I can say that they make me think about spring. Do you agree?
Have a lovely day!
