Hello everyone! I am back today to share a project created with the new Altenew Build-A-Flower: Chrysanthemum set. This set, which includes 1 stamp set (12 images) and 1 coordinating die set (4 dies), is absolutely stunning. The realistic look you can achieve with the layered images is amazing.
Here is a brief description provided by Altenew:
Chrysanthemums are beautiful flowers which symbolize optimism and joy. With an abundance of petals, these perennials resemble pom-poms. Chrysanthemums bloom in many colors, so you can be creative with your ink choices. Altenew has included two encouraging sentiments to help bring joy to your loved ones.
I love the versatility of this set. It is perfect for cards and scrapbook pages, but also to embellish gifts or tags. I used it do decorate a plain clear glassine bag. I think that any gift can become a little more special with a handmade touch.
The coordinating die is mind-blowing, as it not only cuts the outside of the Chrysanthemum shape, but also some of the petals, allowing for more dimension. I layered all my elements in the bottom left corner of the bag, and adhered them down with foam adhesive.
To balance the space on the opposite side, I heat-embossed one of the sentiments that comes in the set with Altenew Translucent Pearl embossing powder. I used another patterned paper from the Our Family Collection as my base; the colors coordinated perfectly with the Crisp Inks I picked for the flowers. I finished the banner with a wood veneer heart and some twine, and I also added a clothespin and enamel dots for extra detail.
Now the fun part! To celebrate this release, Altenew is giving away a $30 gift certificate to six lucky winners! Please leave a comment on the Altenew Card Blog and/or Altenew Scrapbook Blog for a chance to win.
