Altenew – Layout With Stunning Cosmos Stamp Set

Hello everyone! Today I’m sharing a new layout for Altenew featuring the Stunning Cosmos stamp set. I think this set is absolutely gorgeous; the different shapes of the flowers allow for a more realistic look, while the sentiments are perfect for a variety of occasions. 

For today’s layout I combined both Altenew’s scrapbook collections: Reflection, and Our Family. The colors coordinate perfectly, so it was easy to make them work on this page. I started by stamping all the cosmos. For some of them I used the new Altenew Crisp Inks that were just released: Pink Pearl, Heart Beat, and Coral Bliss. For the others, I went with Frosty Pink, Pinkalicious, and Purple Wine. Warm Sunshine and Caramel Toffee were perfect for the center of the cosmos, while Frayed Leaf was used for the top of the stems.

For my background, I first picked a watercolor patterned paper from the Reflection Collection and layered a floral cut file on top of it. Next, I trimmed two strips of patterned paper and placed them vertically on the left side of the page, on top of the cut file. I love how the watercolor paper peeks through the cut file and the texture achieved with all the different layers. I placed the cosmos inside the positive spaces (the openings) of the cut file and used some foam adhesive to adhere them down.

To balance the right side of the page, I created a little cluster on the left side with a sticker camera and a couple of cosmos. The green foliage, which is a chipboard sticker from the Reflection Collection, brings in some extra color.

I kept the layers behind the photo pretty simple and neutral. I just added a couple of die-cuts and some wood veneer hearts from the Our Family Collection.

The title, placed vertically along the side of one of the strips of paper, finished the layout.
