Hello friends! How about a bright, floral layout to bring a breath of fresh air to your day? I’m so ready for spring and warmer days!
This layout features the Oh My Heart collection by Paige Evans. The main design element here is the intricate cut file, which I decided to back with patterned papers from the collection. Although it may look complicated, it is an easy process once you get started. Time consuming for sure, but definitely worth it. Lots of texture and dimension with one simple step! I started by choosing the papers I wanted to use and backed all the leaves first. I find that working on one shape at a time definitely saves you some time, as you don’t have to go back and forth between patterned papers. Next the flowers. I left some of them as is and only backed the bigger ones. I think it adds another element of interest without being “too much”.
The cut file comes with a border which I cut to leave just the beautiful floral design. After gluing it down, I started working on my photo cluster. I rarely use more than one photo on my layouts, but these pictures go together and I didn’t want to separate them. Each photo measures roughly 1.75” x 2.5”. I popped some of them up with foam adhesive for more dimension and started embellishing around them.
I mostly used die cuts from the ephemera pack, chipboard and puffy stickers. Some are peeking out from under the photos, others are on top. The title is simple and still part of the cluster. I love the different heights of photos and embellishments.
To finish the layout, I wrote my journaling on a tag from the Turn the Page collection and tucked it underneath the bottom photo. I also added lots of pearlescent dots for an extra feminine touch.
I hope this layout has made your day a little brighter with its pretty and fresh colors!
