Documenting December With Altenew Stamps And Dies

 Altenew - DD Spread
Hello, Altenew fans! As many other memory keepers out there, I document my December in a pocket-scrapbooking form. I enjoy this project very much, as it allows me to tell everyday stories and focus on the little things, while still being creative.

One of my favorite Altenew stamp sets is Bells and Bows. I have seen many gorgeous projects created with it, so I decided to incorporate it into my album. I started by stamping the bells in a variety of colors, and arranged them in clusters on a green patterned paper from the Our Family Scrapbook Collection. To achieve more dimension, I used foam adhesive to adhere them down, while to add texture I threaded jute into tiny holes I punched on the top of three of them. The little bows from the same stamp set add the finishing touch.

Since the spread is about my daughter playing her ukulele, I decided to incorporate some wood veneer music notes, which I heat-embossed with Rose Gold embossing powder. The red dots you see around the design come from the Blooming Bouquet stamp set. I use them a lot, especially when I don’t have enamel dots that coordinate with other colors on the page.

The sentiment is from the December to Remember stamp set. I stamped it with Espresso Crisp Ink and quickly heat-embossed it with Translucent Pearl embossing powder.

For the journaling card on the left side of the spread, I used the Brush Alpha Die Set to cut the word “story”. I also typed my journaling onto one of the 3×4 cards that come in the Our Family Collection and cut it into strips.

The wood veneer number in the other pocket was heat-embossed with Rose Gold embossing powder, as well. I wanted it to match the music notes on the opposite page.

I hope you have enjoyed reading about my process and will feel inspired to incorporate some of these beautiful stamp sets into your December memory-keeping projects.

Have a lovely day!
