Altenew – Simple Rainbow Layout

Hello everyone! The second layout I’m sharing today features the gorgeous Altenew Reflection Collection and came together in no time.

I love spending time embellishing my pages and really enjoy the whole process of trying different approaches before making a decision, but sometimes it is also nice to just go with the flow without over thinking things. That’s exactly what I did with this layout. I knew I wanted to use the rainbow patterned paper in the Reflection Scrapbook Collection to back a cut file, so I picked a design that let all the pretty colors shine through. This is one of the best ways to save time and still achieve nice results. The cut file is from Just Nick and is called Starburst Flower. Once my background was ready, I decided to trim about half of an inch from the edges in order to create a frame and give it a more finished look.

Next, I adhered a chipboard sticker in the middle of the page to serve as the center of my design, but not before backing it with lots of fussy cut leaves from another patterned paper included in the Reflection Kit. I think this adds more interest and creates continuity in terms of colors. The black and white in the frame is found in the leaves, as well as in the sentiments around the page.

At this point, it was just a matter of choosing embellishments in matching colors to accentuate the rainbow look.

I also used the Painted Butterflies stamp set and a variety of Crisp Inks to create more elements for my layout. Stamp sets are a great way to personalize your projects and add that extra touch that makes them unique.
Creating this layout was easy and fun! I hope you enjoyed reading about my process and will find the tips I shared today useful.
Thank you for stopping by!
