Altenew – Using Stamp Sets To Add Unique Details On A Monochromatic Layout

Hello everyone! I’m back today to show you a new layout created with the gorgeous Altenew Reflection Scrapbook Collection and some elements from two of their stamp sets: Freeform Greenery Stamp Set and 365 Stamp Set. The versatility of these sets makes them a must-have, as they can be used on any project in a variety of ways. For my layout today, I decided to incorporate them as accent pieces. It can be so fun using stamp sets to add unique details and I want to show you how.

The concept for this page was to highlight the colors in the picture by keeping a monochromatic look. The red in my daughter’s dress pops against the dark background, making it the focal point. To start, I backed a cut file with one of the papers in the Reflection Scrapbook Kit that had the same hues. It’s the best when patterned papers do all the work for you. I got a watercolor effect with no effort πŸ˜‰

Then after fussy cutting lots of roses to create clusters around the photo, I decided to use the Freeform Greenery stamp set to add more layers to them. I also heat-embossed some of the images using the Antique Gold Crisp Embossing Powder. Again, gold is one of the colors in the picture, so I thought it would compliment the other colors perfectly.

I also added some sentiments from the sticker and chipboard sheets included in the kit. Adhering elements with foam dots gives the layout extra dimension and a more realistic look. Layering is one of my favorite techniques!

At this point, I was just missing title and date. The 365 stamp set came in handy for that. The font is adorable and the sentiment I used was perfect as a finishing touch. The Crystal Clear Embossing Powder gave it more depth and shine.

I hope you felt inspired to use these stamp sets on your scrapbook pages and use them to add unique details. Also if you have any questions, do not hesitate to ask in the comment section.

Thank you for stopping by! Have a lovely day!
