Pink Paislee – Anniversary: Love layout

Hello Everyone! I’m back with you today to share a sweet layout for ‘Anniversary’ week. My husband and I have been together for 19 years and are about to celebrate our 13th wedding anniversary. I haven’t scrapped a single photo of us from before we got married, so I thought the theme of this week was the perfect excuse to do just that.

What inspired me the most was the peaceful vibe of the picture, which was taken a few days before our wedding. Lots of memories, of course. As my journaling says, “Nineteen years and counting… Looking back and feeling all the feels. Our hopes, expectations and excitement for the future…”. A soft, romantic layout was a must. I went for a two-tone look using the gorgeous Oh My Heart collection. I love how the different shades of pink combine with the gold tones of the leaves. The ombre effect adds so much to the overall look of the layout.

To start, I created a pattern for my stitching. String art has always been a passion of mine, even though I rarely use it on layouts. I used my Silhouette to create the holes, but a paper piercer would work just as well. Once the background was ready, I layered a frame and a couple of die cuts behind my photo and placed it in the lower left corner of the page.

I used some twine, which I wrapped around the picture a few times, and a heart charm to add more interest.

Next, the cluster in the top right corner of the page. Just a row of beautiful fussy cut daises, a heart charm, and some twine to bring the layout together and achieve a cohesive look.

Journaling, enamel dots, and a few fussy cut hearts placed in between the strings of my title completed the layout.

I hope you felt inspired today. Let your photo be the main inspiration for your layout and go from there. More times than not you’ll end up with a page you truly love! Thank you for stopping by and have a lovely day!
